LAMPAMPE is part of a series of simple lamps made of Japanese paper that Ingo Maurer developed in the late 1970s / early 1980s.
In this design, he takes up the shape of traditional lampshades and yet formulates a new aesthetic.
The shades are handmade in Munich, at the production facility of INGO MAURER. The paper creates a soft, completely glare-free light. The paper is slightly creased as a deliberate design element.
Due to its size, Lampampe can also be used very well on low tables or on the floor and, despite its simplicity, has the presence of a sculpture. The E27 socket allows the use of a wide variety of light sources.
