As simple as a child's drawing, Luminator's main body is a tube just wide enough to accommodate the bulb socket.
It rests on a tripod made of three sticks that can be easily stored and carried. The electric wire comes out from the bottom like a tail.
This kind of indirect photographer's lighting was first suggested for domestic use by Pietro Chiesa with his Luminator (1933); in tribute, the Castiglionis also used that name.
